This is a brand new turbocharger CHRA that's designed to fit and perform just like OEM. Also referred to as a turbocharger cartridge, CHRA stands for "Center Housing Rotating Assembly". This is the center section of the turbo that includes all the bearings and seals that wear out on a turbocharger in normal use. You would need to disassemble your original turbocharger and reuse the intake/compressor and exhaust/turbine housings - the housings are not really wear items, but if they are damaged in some other way (usually rusted or cracked) then a CHRA may not be for you. You would also need to test and reuse your original wastegate and actuator, if so equipped. This is not a particularly DIY-friendly option, and professional installation is highly recommended. Fits the Garrett GTP38 turbocharger originally equipped on late 1999 (AKA 1999.5) through 2003 Ford Super Duty pickups and Excursion SUVs with the 7.3L PowerStroke diesel V8.
